MENTOR® Tissue Expanders
Tissue expanders are used in two-stage immediate breast reconstruction surgery to expand the skin and create a shaped pocket for the breast implant to eventually occupy.
MENTOR® ARTOURA™ Breast Tissue Expanders
MENTOR® ARTOURA™ Breast Tissue Expanders are designed to expand primarily the lower portion of the breast with the help of silicone components to control the expansion. The resulting pocket fits the breast implant you choose and slopes like a natural breast.1
The ARTOURA™ Breast Tissue Expander allows surgeons to choose an expander that best aligns to your chest width, and then select a breast implant that fits the base width, final volume and projection you achieve.*1-3
The ARTOURA™ Breast Tissue Expander is available in two projections4 and can achieve a full profile with a range of fill volumes to be compatible with a range of MENTOR®Breast Implants.1-2

MENTOR® CPX®4 Breast Tissue Expanders
The MENTOR® CPX®4 Expander is designed for reconstruction and expands primarily the lower portion of the breast, allowing surgeons to continually add saline solution via an injection dome to gradually stretch the breast tissue over several months.1
The MENTOR® CPX®4 Breast Tissue Expander also has proprietary features including the BufferZone® Self-sealing Patch that surrounds the injection dome and protects at least 50%1 more of the expander’s surface area from accidental needle puncture.2
